In this course, we will show you how to restore an old DataBase and the corresponding Vault into the current Aras installation. There are 6 main steps:

  1. Create a new empty database
  2. Restore the old Aras .bak file in it
  3. Run the script that assigns the ownership and permissions of the database
  4. Restore the Vault
  5. Update the list of the databases of the Aras configuration file
  6. Upgrade the old Aras Database structure (you might want to restore a DB built with Aras 12Sp14 into a newer Aras 12Sp18 and this requires fixes)
